On this page you find the translations of woody species and of terms as well as their explanations (marked with yellow background), which were used in the NFI.

yield table
Depiction of model predictions of the development of the top height, stem count, volume, increment and yield valid of defined stands subjected to particular silvicultural treatments in relation to stand age and site class.

[D] Ertragstafel
Darstellung des modellmässigen Verlaufes von Oberhöhe, Stammzahl, Vorrat, Zuwachs und Nutzung definierter Bestände mit bestimmter waldbaulicher Behandlung in Abhängigkeit des Bestandesalters und der Bonität.

[F] table de production
Représentation d'un modèle d'évolution de la hauteur dominante, du nombre de tiges, du volume sur pied, de l'accroissement et des volumes récoltés en fonction de l'âge des peuplements et de l'indice de fertilité, valable pour des peuplements définis, soumis à un certain traitement sylvicole.

[I] tavola alsometrica
Rappresentazione in forma di modello dell'andamento di altezza dominante, numero di alberi, provvigione, incremento e utilizzazioni di definiti popolamenti sottoposti ad un determinato trattamento selvicolturale, tale rappresentazione viene fatta sulla base dell'età del popolamento e della feracità.

    WT = Waldbauliche Terminologie (Brünig und Mayer 1980)
    Anl. LFI = Anleitung für die Feldaufnahmen der Erhebung 1993-1995 (Stierlin et al. 1994)
  • The German, French and Italien plant names were taken mainly from the book Die häufigsten Waldbäume der Schweiz or from the Flora Helvetica
  • The English plant names were taken form the internet (swiss web flora, PLANTS Database and Dictionary of Common Names by plantpress.com). The notations and abbreviations were taken from IPNI - The international Plant Names Index.
