On this page you find the translations of woody species and of terms as well as their explanations (marked with yellow background), which were used in the NFI.

| Groups the analyzed data (target value) into spacial subareas with known size such as production regions or cantons. The values of these single subareas can be added to yield the sum of the whole area. [D] Aussageeinheit (Region) Gruppiert die analysierten Daten (Zielgrösse) in räumliche Teilgebiete mit bekannter Flächengrösse wie z.B. Produktionsregionen oder Kantone. Die Werte dieser einzelnen Teilgebiete (Flächen) lassen sich addieren und ergeben die Summe des Gesamtgebietes. [F] unité d'interprétation (région) Groupe et présente les données analysées (valeurs cibles) par sous-domaines géographiques de surface connue, comme p. ex. par régions de production ou cantons. Les valeurs des sous-domaines (surfaces) s'additionnent et leur somme équivaut au total du domaine. [I] unità di riferimento (regione) Regioni o entità politiche della Svizzera alle quali si riferiscono i risultati e le loro indicazioni: Regione di produzione, Regione economica, Regioni di foreste di protezione, Cantoni. |

- The English plant names were taken form the internet (swiss web flora, PLANTS Database and Dictionary of Common Names). The notations and abbreviations were taken from IPNI - The international Plant Names Index.
