structural diversity of a stand

Key measure used to characterize the stand as a habitat. It is deduced from the parameters: stage of stand development, crown closure, stand structure, proportion of timber over 50 cm width, degree of damage to the stand, presence of a forest or stand edge, presence and type of gaps, degree of cover of the shrub layer, degree of cover with berry bushes, as well as the presence of stumps, lying dead wood, snags and heaps of branches. [F] diversité structurelle du peuplement Grandeur servant à caractériser le peuplement en tant qu'habitat , elle est dérivée des paramètres suivants : stade de développement, degré de fermeture, structure du peuplement, proportion de gros bois, gravité des dégâts du peuplement, présence de lisière forestière ou de limite de peuplement, présence et genre de clairières dans le peuplement, degré de recouvrement de la strate buissonnante, degré de recouvrement des arbustes à baies, ainsi que présence de souches, de bois mort à terre, d' arbres secs sur pied et de tas de branches. [I] diversità strutturale del popolamento Grandezza per la caratterizzazione del popolamento come spazio vitale, ottenuta dai parametri stadio di sviluppo, grado di chiusura, struttura del popolamento, quota di alberi di grandi dimensioni, grado di danneggiamento del popolamento, presenza di margine del bosco o del popolamento, presenza e tipo di chiarie nel popolamento, grado di copertura dello strato arbustivo, grado di copertura degli arbusti produttori di bacche, così come anche la presenza di ceppaie, legname morto a terra, alberi morti in piedi, mucchi di rami.
