shrub belt
Fringe of woody plants smaller than 12 cm DBH, which is preliminary to the skirts of the forest (excluding dwarf shrubs), cf. forest edge

[D] Strauchgürtel
Dem Waldmantel vorgelagerter Saum aus Gehölzpflanzen (exklusive Zwergsträucher) unter 12 cm BHD, vgl. Waldrand.

[F] cordon de buissons
Bordure constituée de plantes ligneuses (à l'exclusion des arbustes nains) d'un DHP inférieur à 12cm, placée devant le manteau forestier, cf. Lisière.

[I] fascia arbustiva
Orlo di piante legnose (esclusi gli arbusti nani), antistante al mantello boschivo, con un DPU inferiore a 12 cm, vedi margine del bosco.

  • The German, French and Italien plant names were taken mainly from the book Die häufigsten Waldbäume der Schweiz or from the Flora Helvetica
  • The English plant names were taken form the internet (swiss web flora, PLANTS Database and Dictionary of Common Names by plantpress.com). The notations and abbreviations were taken from IPNI - The international Plant Names Index.
