The NFI is a sample survey and provides estimates. The standard error is given as a measure for accuracy for every value after the character ±.

On the following pages you can interactively query the results of the national forest inventory. The results will be presented in the form of a table or a map.

The layout of each table consists of the same elements (unit of reference, classification unit and target value) as depicted to the right. The table also provides a basis for the map, where each table row and the corresponding regions can be visualized separately.

Currently there are a total of 99106 tables or maps at your disposal. You will have to make a choice to reduce the amount of results.

Current version of data: NFI4 2009/17

The results of the current and preceding inventories on the internet are always recalculated according to the latest methods. This garantees the comparability of recent and older data. Hence, results published in books previously may not be identical to the latest numbers published on the Internet.
