Anzahl aller lebenden und toten Bäume und Sträucher ab 12 cm BHD, bei welchen ein bestimmtes Schadenbild (inkl. kein Schaden, tot oder liegend) festgestellt wurde. Ein Baum kann mehrere Schadenbilder aufweisen. Er kann somit zur Gesamtstammzahl mehrerer Schadenbilder beitragen.

Das Merkmal Schaden am Einzelbaum (EBSCHADEN) beinhaltet die verschiedenen Schäden, die am stehenden und lebenden Einzelbaum auftreten können unter teilweiser Berücksichtigung der Schadengrösse. Pro Probebaum sind bis zu zwei Schadnennungen möglich, wobei am selben Baum zweimal der gleiche Schaden auftreten kann. Zusätzlich zu den Schadenbildern werden Dürrständer und liegende grüne bzw. tote Bäume ausgewiesen.

Klassierung in 20% Klassen der Neigungen abgeleitet aus dem DHM25 (swisstopo). Die Codebezeichnung der Klassen ist aufgrund einer besseren Lesbarkeit nicht ganz korrekt, z.B. "21 - 40" bedeutet "> 20 und <= 40".

Die Biogeografische Regionen sind biogeographische Abgrenzungen basierend auf einem rein statistischen Gliederungsansatz anhand von floristischen und faunistischen Verbreitungsmustern. Sie bilden in der Grundeinteilung mit sechs Regionen die vom BUWAL vorgegebene Basis für die laufenden und zukünftigen gesamtschweizerischen Projekte im Bereich Naturschutz. Sie wurden 2001 definiert und beziehen sich auf die Gemeindegrenzen.

Unter der jeweiligen Inventurnummer gehören jene Punkte des terrestrischen Netzes zum "zugänglichen Wald ohne Gebüschwald", welche terrestrisch begehbar waren und dem "Wald ohne Gebüschwald" zugeordnet wurden. Im internationalen Reporting werden diese als "forest available for wood supply" ausgewiesen.

Zugehörigkeit zum geometrischen Netz, welches als Basis für die Feldaufnahmen im LFI3 diente. Dieses Netz setzt sich zusammen aus dem 1.4 x 1.4 km Netz und einem zusätzlichen um 1 km verschobenen 4 km Netz.
