Die Waldfläche ist die Gesamtheit aller Flächen, die gemäss Walddefinition des LFI als Wald bezeichnet werden. Die Walddefinition schliesst Gebüschwald mit ein.

Die Biogeografische Regionen sind biogeographische Abgrenzungen basierend auf einem rein statistischen Gliederungsansatz anhand von floristischen und faunistischen Verbreitungsmustern.
