Das Merkmal Schaden am Einzelbaum beinhaltet die verschiedenen Schäden (in 13 Klassen), die am stehenden und lebenden Baum auftreten können. Pro Probebaum sind bis zu zwei Schadnennungen möglich, wobei am selben Baum zweimal der gleiche Schaden auftreten kann. Zusätzlich zu den Schadenbildern werden Dürrständer und liegende grüne bzw. tote Bäume ausgewiesen.
