On this page you find the translations of woody species and of terms as well as their explanations (marked with yellow background), which were used in the NFI.
 stand stability (stability) |
| Resistance of a stand to disturbances. In the NFI this is taken to mean the expected mechanical stability under stress resulting from abiotic factors (e.g. wind, snow, etc.). [D] Bestandesstabilität (Stabilität) Beständigkeit eines Bestandes gegenüber störenden Einflüssen. Im LFI als zu erwartende mechanische Stabilität gegen Belastungen überwiegend durch abiotische Faktoren (Wind, Schnee usw.) zu verstehen. [F] stabilité du peuplement (stabilité) Résistance d'un peuplement aux perturbations. L'IFN s'intéresse à la stabilité mécanique à l'égard des constraintes résultant principalement des facteurs abiotiques (vent, neige, etc.). [I] stabilità del popolamento (stabilità) Capacità di un popolamento di resistere a fattori di distrubo. Nell'IFN si intende la stabilità meccanica attesa nei confronti di impatti da fattori principalmente abiotici (vento, neve, ecc.). |
