Nell'IFN, indicatore per la caratterizzazione della struttura verticale ed orizzontale del margine del bosco, ottenuta a partire dai parametri costituzione, andamento e densità del margine del bosco e le larghezze rispettive del mantello boschivo, della fascia arbustiva e dell'orlo delle erbe.
